Throughout his distinguished career which spans nearly 20 years, Dr. Jason Bullajian has performed over ten-thousand cataract and refractive surgery procedures and he remains on the cutting-edge of medical, surgical and technological advances in eye surgery. Notable among Bullajian’s many achievements, he was the first cataract surgeon in Collin County to perform all-laser cataract surgery using the LenSx Laser platform. He was the first surgeon in Collin County to successfully implant the iStent inject glaucoma implant.

A native Texan, fluent in both English and Spanish, Bullajian was born and raised in Corpus Christi where he graduated from the Mary Carroll High School Honors Program in the top two percent of his class.

After undergraduate training, where he was one of the first few to graduate with Distinction from Baylor University’s Honors Program, his love for academics and education led him to a brief career teaching high school chemistry and physics, and junior high science. While in residency at the University of South Carolina at Columbia, Bullajian attained the distinction of being the first resident physician in the university’s residency program history to perform LASIK eye surgery. He was also selected by the chairman of the department to be Chief Resident. This honor enabled him to share his skill, experience, knowledge and love of medicine by teaching other residents about eye disease, cataract surgery and LASIK.

After completing his residency, Bullajian returned to Texas. He founded Texas Vision & Laser Center in McKinney in 2000, and opened a second location in Frisco in 2012. When not caring for patients, Bullajian enjoys water skiing, snow skiing, playing golf and tennis, scuba diving, playing the guitar and spending time with his wife and their three children.

Dr. Kirk was raised in the small town of Prosper, Texas, when its population was less than 3,000. He graduated from Legacy Christian Academy and then attended Baylor University, where he majored in Biology and minored in Business Administration, graduating summa cum laude.

During his undergraduate training, he was selected as the Chief Medical Officer intern for Baylor Scott & White Healthcare Systems and was elected president of the Alpha Epsilon Delta medical honor society.

While at Baylor University, he enjoyed working as an optometric technician and decided to further his medical training at Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center School of Medicine in Lubbock, Texas. Throughout medical school, he worked as a research assistant for the TTUHSC Ophthalmology and Visual Sciences Department and published numerous articles, including highlights in optics, oculoplastics, and glaucoma. Having been heavily involved with the ophthalmology department, he decided to pursue an ophthalmic residency at TTUHSC for its cutting-edge clinical and surgical training. Dr. Kirk was selected to be Chief Resident.

He has been trained as a comprehensive ophthalmologist and manages various eye diseases, including dry eye, cataracts, eyelid conditions, and general retinal care. Dr. Kirk specializes in modern ophthalmic surgical and laser techniques, such as cataract surgery, minimally invasive glaucoma surgery (MIGS), eyelid surgery, and refractive surgery. He is well-versed in the most current glaucoma devices available and was one of the first resident physicians in the nation to be certified in both iStent and Hydrus (MIGS).
Dr. Kirk is certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology, reflecting his expertise and dedication to delivering exceptional eye care.

He is delighted to be part of the TVLC team, providing care for patients in the North Dallas area. Outside of work, he enjoys spending time with his wife and three children, running, fishing, and playing tennis.

Dr. Joel Rodgers is a comprehensive ophthalmologist with training in the medical and surgical management of cataracts, glaucoma, dry eye, general retina, and the eyelids. He completed his ophthalmology residency at Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center in Lubbock, Texas, where he was selected to serve as Chief Resident during his final year.

Dr. Rodgers earned his Bachelor of Science in Biology, with a minor in Chemistry, from East Texas Baptist University, graduating summa cum laude from the Honors College and receiving recognition for Outstanding Honors Project. He went on to earn his Doctor of Medicine degree from the Paul L. Foster School of Medicine at Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center El Paso, where he was elected to the prestigious Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society and received honors in multiple clinical clerkships. During medical school, he also developed proficiency in medical Spanish, enabling him to better care for Spanish-speaking patients.

Throughout his medical training, Dr. Rodgers has remained actively involved in clinical research and medical education. His research has spanned ophthalmology, infectious disease, and cardiovascular medicine, with presentations at regional and institutional scientific meetings. He has also delivered numerous Grand Rounds presentations on cataract surgery, anterior segment disease, and complex ophthalmic cases. Passionate about providing compassionate, evidence-based care, Dr. Rodgers thoughtfully incorporates advances in ophthalmic technology to help patients achieve their individual vision goals while emphasizing patient education as a cornerstone of exceptional care.

Outside of medicine, Dr. Rodgers enjoys photography, running, and playing guitar. He and his wife, a pediatrician, enjoy serving their community together, traveling, and spending time outdoors.

With post-graduate certifications in Ocular Therapeutics and Optometric Glaucoma Specialist, Dr. Jeffrey Wildridge has been practicing in the Dallas area for more than 30 years. His particular areas of focus include pre- and post-operative care of surgical patients, glaucoma, LASIK and primary eye care.

Born and raised in southwestern Indiana, in the heart of basketball country, Wildridge attended Indiana University at Bloomington. Inspired by his own eye problems as a teen, upon graduation, Wildridge entered the Indiana University School of Optometry in Bloomington, where he earned his Doctor of Optometry degree. Later he attended University of Houston College of Optometry where he earned post-graduate certifications.

Wildridge has been a resident of McKinney for over 20 years, he has three sons and leads a very active life. As an Indiana native, he is an avid basketball fan and follows Indiana University Hoosiers and the Dallas Mavericks. Wildridge is an active member of his church. He enjoys golf and is an accomplished musician, singer and songwriter.

Dr. Kim is a licensed Therapeutic Optometrist and Optometric Glaucoma Specialist. Additionally, she is a distinguished Fellow of the American Academy of Optometry and is board-certified as a Diplomate of the American Board of Optometry.
Dr. Kim is passionate in treating each of her patients like family and delivering comprehensive and compassionate eye care. She is excited and honored to be of service to the TVLC community. In her spare time, Dr. Kim loves running, traveling, and spending quality time with her family and friends.

Dr. Si-On Kim is a proud native Texan and grew up throughout the DFW metroplex. She completed her undergraduate studies at the University of Texas at Austin with a Bachelor of Science in Nutritional Sciences. She then earned her Doctor of Optometry degree at the University of Houston College of Optometry, graduating Magna Cum Laude. During optometry school, she was selected to be a Teaching Assistant and was inducted into the Beta Sigma Kappa honor society for her exemplary academic performance.

Post-graduation, Dr. Kim pursued advanced training by completing an intensive Ocular Disease residency at the Memphis VA Medical Center. Prior to joining TVLC, she practiced at a cataract and refractive ophthalmology center and several primary eye care clinics. As a result, Dr. Kim is proficient in the diagnosis and management of a wide range of ocular pathologies and pre- and post-surgical care.
